Carnegie Mellon Choruses

The Â鶹¹ÙÍø Chorus and the Â鶹¹ÙÍø Singers are vital components of the School of Music.  This year, the Chorus will join the Â鶹¹ÙÍø Philharmonic two times.  First, in December for the annual Holiday Concert, this year featuring Handel’s MESSIAH with soloists from the voice department.  The second collaboration with the Phil includes an evening of Grand Opera excerpts and choruses by Puccini, Bizet, Verdi and others.  Between these two, the Chorus will prepare a cappella works to take to various flash mobs on campus during class time.

The Singers, a chamber group of 12-14 singers, will perform the music Eric Whitacre this fall, and famous Broadway Choruses in the spring.  Contact assistant, Logan Williams, for an audition.
