  • Automatic Contributions for Eligible Employees: Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø contributes 8% of your salary to a 403(b) plan. Faculty on a nine-month academic appointment get 9.78% of your salary to ensure full annual coverage. (A 401(k) plan is provided for non-resident aliens.)
  • Flexible Savings: Supplement your savings with your own pre-tax or post-tax (Roth) contributions.

Tuition Assistance

We are a community of lifelong learners. Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø invests in your education, and your family's, through our tuition assistance programs. Use these benefits to enhance your skills, pursue a new degree, or stay ahead in your field at no or low cost.

  • Your Education at Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø: Eligible employees receive 100% tuition remission for up to two courses (or four mini courses) per term at Carnegie Mellon (any subject).
  • Other Institutions: Receive 50% tuition assistance for career-related courses taken at any other accredited institution.
  • Dependent Tuition: We help cover the cost of your children's undergraduate education or approved trade school, with various levels of assistance available for Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø or other universities.
