Family Weekend, Scotty Saturday are Filled with #TartanPride

Â鶹¹ÙÍø celebrated Family Weekend Oct. 13-Oct. 15, including the second annual Scotty Saturday on Oct. 14.
Family weekend annually brings students, their families and friends together to experience the vibrancy of Â鶹¹ÙÍø's campus through a variety of events, academic programming and open houses. On Saturday, the Tartan football team played Geneva College at Â鶹¹ÙÍø's Gesling Stadium.
Scotty Saturday's signature event, the Festival on Scotty Saturday included Â鶹¹ÙÍø performances, a marketplace, Tartan swag, and arts and crafts.
The theme of Spring Carnival also was announced during the event and is "Myths and Legends."
Hannah Nourie, student body vice president for organizations, said Scotty Saturday is a celebration of what makes the Â鶹¹ÙÍø community so special.
"This event is truly in the spirit of Carnegie Mellon," Nourie said. "It's a combination of our interdisciplinary spirit and showcases our diverse student body interests and passions."
