Call for Proposals: Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø’s Inaugural Teaching & Learning Summit
Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø’s will host the first Teaching and Learning Summit for faculty and graduate students on October 14, 2016 from 1-5 p.m. The event is designed to:
- Foster dialogue, networking and collaboration within and across disciplines.
- Showcase the educational research of Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø instructors and learning scientists.
- Share transferable, evidence-based and innovative teaching strategies used by Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø instructors.
Cognitive Psychologist will give the keynote speech on “Critical Thinking: Why Is It So Hard To Teach?”
The call for poster presentations is underway. Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø faculty and graduate students are encouraged to highlight their work in:
- Effective and/or innovative teaching strategies from any course or educational programming targeting undergraduate, graduate, pre-K or K-12 students.
- Technology-enhanced learning strategies that leverage newly developed or previously available tools.
- Data from classroom research of student learning at Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø.
- Data from learning science research conducted by Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø faculty, postdocs and graduate students.
