Our Mission
STAMPS is one of few research centers in the US specializing in foundational statistics and AI research for the physical sciences.
STAMPS includes a core research group of 20-30 Statistics and Machine Learning faculty and students at Â鶹¹ÙÍø.
Since its conception in 2018, STAMPS has built a network of sustained collaborations between data scientists and physical scientists nationally and internationally.
STAMPS is offering public colloquia-style webinars open to all members of the scientific community in addition to local center meetings that are open to Â鶹¹ÙÍø and Pitt faculty and students.
In Fall 2024, STAMPS transitioned from a research group to the STAMPS@Â鶹¹ÙÍø Research Center.
