Celebrating Health Literacy Awareness Month
October marks Health Literacy Awareness Month—a time to spotlight the importance of accessible, inclusive, and empowering health education. At Â鶹¹ÙÍø, this mission came to life through a vibrant Health Literacy Fair held in the Cohon University Center on October 23rd, 2025.

Spearheaded by Jessica Rea, MS, RDN, LD, Program Director of Nutrition with Â鶹¹ÙÍø Dining Services, the fair served students, faculty, and staff. The event was a true testament to the power of collaboration, featuring contributions from: Â鶹¹ÙÍø Health Promotion, Â鶹¹ÙÍø Counseling and Psychological Services (CaPS), Â鶹¹ÙÍø Wellness & Meaning Making, Adagio Health Inc., and Phipps Conservatory & Botanical Gardens.

Each partner brought their unique expertise to the table—literally. Informational tables covered a wide range of topics including nutrition, mental health, sexual health, and religious/spiritual well-being. Attendees had the opportunity to engage with experts, pick up educational materials, and discover new ways to support their holistic health.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to all the campus and community partners who made this event possible. Your dedication to student wellness helps make Â鶹¹ÙÍø a healthier, more inclusive place to be.
