Technology
Below is important information about various systems and technology you will be using while enrolled in the program. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to your Program Specialist.
Andrew ID - Your Key to Accessing Â鶹¹ÙÍø Systems
Your AndrewID is a combination of your first initial and last name and will be your primary mode of authenticating nearly all systems at Carnegie Mellon.
Within two weeks of receipt of your Intent to Enroll, you will be added to the Â鶹¹ÙÍø system where an AndrewID and Â鶹¹ÙÍø email address will be generated.
A message containing your Andrew userID and instructions for setting your password will be sent to the email address you have on file in approximately two weeks following submission of your Intent to Enroll. Check your spam folder if you don't see it. If more than two weeks has passed since you submitted your Intent to Enroll form, email it-help@cmu.edu to request that it be resent.
Â鶹¹ÙÍø Email Address
Once you have an AndrewID, you will have a Â鶹¹ÙÍø email account. Your AndrewID is the first half of your Â鶹¹ÙÍø email address, a Google hosted Gmail account. Your email address will be: AndrewID@andrew.cmu.edu.

Student Information System (SIO)
where you will see your course registration, check grades, access tuition bills or update personal information in the Â鶹¹ÙÍø system. You will log into SIO with your AndrewID and password.
The first time that you log into SIO it will ask, "Have you talked to your advisor?" This is an automatic pop-up for all students that you do not need to worry about. While we are happy to talk to you, it is not required.
Canvas
Canvas is our Learning Management system and where both Orientation and your classes will live. You will with your AndrewID and password. How-to guides and are also available resources.

First Week of Class: Monday - Thursday from 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. (ET)
During the first week of class, we will have extended support from our Â鶹¹ÙÍø Online help desk should you have difficulty accessing a course for the first time. Email cmuonline-help@andrew.cmu.edu for assistance and we will respond right away.
